Services:

Work-N-Wheels Program — 0% Auto Loans: assist qualified employed individuals obtain a 0% interest loan to purchase reliable, affordable transportation for work related needs. Vehicle Repairs: The Work-N-Wheels vehicle repair program may lend qualified applicants 75% of the cost of needed repairs up to $1,000 to repair an otherwise reliable vehicle. Funds for Fines: Funds for Fines is a loan program aimed at helping low-income drivers drive legally and responsibly.

Winnebago County - ADVOCAP Transportation Program — A program designed to provide transportation to those in need as requested by the Department of Human Services (DHS) in Winnebago County. Services:

Fixed Route Services — GO Transit buses operate Monday through Saturday, cost $1.50, and are wheelchair accessible.

Paratransit (Riders with Disabilities) — GO Transit offers paratransit service to individuals with disabilities within the City of Oshkosh, and are wheelchair accessible.

Senior Transportation — GO Transit offers a half-fare ($0.75) program to all citizens 60 years and older using the bus. Any bus rides to and from a senior’s residence to the Oshkosh Seniors Center are free with a card provided by the Oshkosh Seniors Center. GO Transit also provides dial-a-ride taxi service for seniors. This service should only be used when GO Transit buses are not available for your trip. In order to qualify for this service, seniors must be age 60 or older and obtain an identification card (brown card) from the Oshkosh Seniors Center.

Rural Transportation — Rural over 60 program provides sedan service to seniors (age 60 and over) in rural Winnebago County. Each participant is limited to 10 one-way rides per month. The cost is $7. Rural under 60 program provides sedan and lift-equipped van service to rural residents with a qualifying disability in Winnebago County. Each participant is limited to 10 one-way rides per month. The cost is $7.

Access to Jobs (ATJ) — ATJ is a demand response cab ride for the purpose of going to and from work only.* It is intended to assist low-income individuals with transportation needs related to employment. You must live and work within the city limits of Oshkosh. The cost is $4.

New Hope’s ‘DRIVE’ offers transportation services for elderly and disabled residents in the greater Calumet County area. All drivers are screened, safety trained, offer door to door service and can accommodate any level of disability.

VT Connector
VT Connector provides two modes of service depending on whether or not Valley Transit bus service is operating. See a description and hours of each mode below.

Bus Route Feeder Service: During bus hours, VT Connector picks up the rider and provides service to the closest bus system transfer point. See list of transfer points below.* At the transfer point, the rider can utilize bus routes for service to a final destination. On return trips, the bus routes will take the rider to the transfer point closest to his/her final destination and VT Connector will finish the trip.
Full Trip Service: When the bus service is not operating (early mornings or later in the evening), VT Connector covers the rider’s entire trip with service from their origin to their destination within the service area.

Valley Transit Travel Training
Valley Transit provides free training and other resources to anyone that would like to learn how to use the bus. Work with our travel training specialist to become confident and independent in riding Valley Transit. Travel training is designed to help first-time riders or groups, regardless of age or differing level of ability. Training will be customized based on each individual’s goals and needs.
